Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub

Urban Decay Ultimate Ozone

Every once in a while, i come across a product that i didn't think i needed yet come to find i can't live without! Such a moment happened when Urban Decay's  Ultimate Ozone  Multipurpose primer pencil met my lips! It applies like a balm and makes my lips feel soft yet leaves a bit of a tacky feeling to truly adhere the lipstick to my lips.  It's not an uncomfortably tacky feeling like you'll get with some lip glosses.  It just feels like something that will help your lipstick stay put.  While this pencil is an amazing primer, i love that it has quite a few other uses! Did you know it works well to hide blemishes, prevents lip color from feathering, corrects mistakes and can even fill in fine lines?!  Whaaaat???  No really... you need this!  Trust me!

Benefit Air Patrol

You know how when you shop Sephora you can pick out three tiny samples?  Well, this was one of them.  I don't always try those samples and have hundreds of little packets of products lying around the house.  This one however was different.  My curiosity was peeked when the product launched and i loved that i could actually try this before decided if it was for me. Let me just tell you, Benefit's Air Patrol far exceeded my expectations.  In fact, i noticed the effects of this product big time!  Before i get into that i should probably tell you what it is.  Air Patrol is a BB Cream Eyelid Primer.  Basically it color corrects which means you can actually wear it alone, it protects the delicate skin on your lids from the sun and it primes which essentially means it will make your eye make up last longer.  This product felt slightly tacky when i applied it on to the lid area.  I really felt my eyeshadow adhere to my lid and let me tell you, it didn't budge... at all!  I was so impressed with this product.  In fact, i began using it not only on my lid but underneath my concealer because i love how it grips to the product.  I'm so glad i got to test a tiny sample because the first day i used it, i got home and promptly ordered a full size.  It's uhhhmazing!

Beauty Protector

I take my hair care very seriously!  So when i come across a few good gems, i simply have to tell my BFFs (you guys of course) all about them! Beauty Protector is a brand i learned about initially through my Birchbox subscription. In fact, i reviewed the Protect & Oil last year and have to say that it's still a favorite of mine!  Aside from the fact that it smells uhhhhhmazing... this beauty does one thing (OK many things) right! First, and quite possibly most important is its UV rays and heat protection.  Listen, it's bad enough the torture my poor locks have endured through chemical processing, but if i can do anything to protect them from further damage, i know my sweet friend Protect & Oil never fails me! When it comes to my hair products, this busy mommy counts on functionality... and of course, a little multi-tasking action never hurt anyone did it? Valentine's Day is fast approaching and i've got pink on the brain!  I honestly have a bit of a love hate relationship with this ultra feminine hue.  At times i want nothing more than to lay in a mountain of fluffy pink feathers and sip pink champagne, other times it just isn't my scene.  Clearly i have issues but that's a topic for another day!  Since i'm currently embracing all things pink, i thought i'd devote this post to some of my current faves in the hopes that perhaps you'll find something special to treat yourself with.  Why wait for your sweetheart right?? I don't know about you but i'm sooooo over winter already!  My skin is ready for some good old vitamin D but it's so dang cold out that i just can't bring myself to stay outside long enough to actually enjoy the sun.  While i just crossed another X on my countdown to spring calendar, i decide it's time to take matters into my own hands.  You see, i have the perfect tools to help me achieve the perfect winter glow!  I discovered Karora self tanners at a beauty event i attended last summer.  At the time, i was devoted user of St. Tropez and swore nothing else was worth the try.  Still, i gave this beauty a chance and was completely wow'd with the results.  The color is so natural looking and completely buildable.  I use the Karora glove applicator to apply the mouse all over my body and am always pleased with the results.  I can honestly say that i have officially converted and am now a major fan of this brand!  Give them a try and you will see exactly what i mean!

Drugstore Beauty - Hair Edition!

You guys!!! I don't think I've been this excited about drugstore hair care in like... well... I've actually never been this excited about drugstore hair care before!  You see, i always spend hundreds of dollars on expensive shampoos, conditioners and treatments... until now that is! When L'Oreal's new advanced haircare line arrived at my doorstep, i simply couldn't wait to try it!  I mean, wouldn't it be nice to be able to actually save on hair care without skimping on quality?  Well my hair is officially in love!  Let me explain!

L'Oreal's Smooth Intense Polishing Shampoo is everything!  I apply a generous amount and it leaves my hair feeling so soft.  I purchased the Conditioner to truly test the two together and have officially found my new favorite shampoo/conditioner combo set!  My hair is absolutely loving these beauties!

My favorite product from the entire collection has got to be the Blow Dry It Spray!  In fact, after receiving this one, I've already purchased it twice!  This 'dry shampoo' gives my hair life and bounce.  I'm absolutely smitten with this spray!  I like to hold up the hair in the crown of my head and spray the root area.  When i let my hair fall back down, it's voluminized and ready to take on the day!  Love this beauty!

The Quick Dry Spray was pretty great.  While i can't say that it cut my dry time in half, i will say it facilitated the process.  It made my hair very easy to manage and i love that it protects it from the heat.  I tend to blow dry my hair way more often in the winter and it know that it takes a toll on it so heat protection is so important!

Blow Dry It Thermal Smoother Cream is a great product to use on damp hair prior to blow drying.  I love that it's another form of heat protection yet it acts as a leave in conditioner almost by making hair smooth and manageable.

L'Oreal totally got it right with these products.  I'm going to keep replenishing them because my hair is loving them! Paris Bound! Happy New Year!

You guys!!!! I'm going to PARIS!  Last Christmas, while at breakfast with one of my best friends (who btw shares a birthday with me therefore making her my birthday twin!), suggested that we celebrate our 40th birthday in Paris!  At first i was like, whhhhaaaat?!  But the more i thought about it, the more it made sense.  You only live once...  so why not?!  I quickly ran out and purchased the latest Fodor's Paris edition and began dreaming of this day.  Eventually with the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Paris sort of got shoved in the back burner and was never discussed again.... until last month.  I thought about it a lot. This time of year is so difficult because my girls have their birthday in December so we always plan a big party for them.  In addition to that, we have a ton of birthdays and of course Christmas.  It just gets so expensive... add a trip to Paris to the equation and yikes! However, the more i thought about it the more i felt as though if we didn't do this, i would totally regret it.  After all, we only turn 40 once... and second, our birthday is always gonna fall on an 'inconvenient' time of year. So, just like that... we booked out tickets!  The past month has been incredibly stressful and honestly, i haven't had the time to actually sit and plan much.  Though as soon as Christmas was over, i felt this sense of relief in a way... like i could finally breathe!  It was so nice to actually sit with a blankie and my Fodor's book and finally devote a little time planning this amazing trip.  So here's the thing... we are only going for 5 days and while it's going to be amazing, I'm having some major anxiety about leaving my little girls behind.  I know they'll be in great hands, i just hate flying so every time i travel, i experience a little of this feeling.  I'm working on getting past that.  

Well, we leave tomorrow and i just organized my entire closet in order to make packing a bit of a more pleasurable experience.  Oh who am i kidding, i hate packing!  I'm a little overwhelmed with the wardrobe selection.  We will be doing a ton of walking so i have to make sure my shoe situation is comfortable but not frumpy.  I have a couple of pairs of flat boots and Tieks that are super comfy so they'll work.  Also, it's cold in Paris and since we'll be outdoors, i have to make sure that i pack my favorite winter accessories. I've found a ton of super cute things to wear while I'm there but haven't found one single thing to wear on my actual birthday.  We have dinner reservations at the Eiffel Tower (omg screaming here) and i want to look my best but at this point, I'll figure something out.  Who knows, perhaps I'll find something amazing while in Paris! I'm sure it won't be hard! After all... Paris is the fashion mecca of the world!  I'm excited to make some beauty discoveries as well (I'll be sure to share them with you of course).

Baby It's Cold Outside

Baby it's cold outside!  Seriously!  I'm currently sitting under a super soft and cozy faux fur blankie in hopes that my tootsies warm up a little.  I have a little bit of a love/hate relationship with the cooler weather.  I love all the cozy things about winter such as flannel sheets, faux fur blankies and pillows, hats and mittens, lattes and of course my hair looks way better in the winter than it does in the summer (i hate you humidity)! DIY Tips From Miranda Kerr's Facialist!

Lets face it, we all want beautiful skin!  Who else to look to for advice than Miranda Kerr's facialist Ildi Pekar.  With the COLD Winter upon us, keep your skin in tip-top shape this season with some tips from Pekar.  

Tips to keep your face  Hydrated This Winter:

·         Using krill oil/fish oil is great to have hydrated skin!

·         Stay away from scorching hot water, this over dries your skin!

·         Use gentle products. Anything that is soothing for the skin like honey

·          Lay off the caffeine, it does dehydrate you

·          Almonds/Avocados oils are great to eat to keep your skin hydrated within

·          Pumpkin seeds and walnuts are also very high in oil! Add it to your diet

DIY Winter Mask (Once a week to keep the skin hydrated)

½ Banana and Smash

3tsp. Of raw honey

3tsp. of sour cream or yogurt (with fat!!)

Blend the ingredients

Apply to face, Sit for 15 Minutes

Rinse with cool water
