OK so i interrupt my regularly scheduled beauty posts to show you THIS!  If you have a Fitbit get excited because Tory Burch has created the most gorgeous bracelet to help you get fit in style!  I'm obsessed with the rose gold!  After all, my new year's resolution is the same every year so this beauty will come in handy! The only thing i don't love about it?  The price!  The fitibit costs about $100 but this pretty accessory is twice the price of the cost of the fitbit.  Kind of silly if you ask me but since i've always been a slave to fashion.... i suppose i'll give this beauty a go! Fall Beauty

Plus, i feel that it's so unique.  You don't see dresses like this one very often!  I'm seriously in love!

Lilac Love

OK so my love affair with this color began when i first set eyes on this Rebecca Minkoff cross body bag!  Seriously, i have visions of parading this beauty around town stat!  I find cross body bags easy, especially for shopping because it leaves your hands free to, you know... browse!   Oh and if you get the bag, you'll totally need the matching Rebecca Minkoff Mani/Pedi Fun pouch!  I mean, we all need a mani/pedi fund, no?  So if you want to go all matchy matchy, lets cat nails.  Can we please discuss this super chic Chanel number?  I adore Chanel polish!  I remember being pregnant and on bed rest and the only thing that brought me happiness was Chanel polish.  It was the one thing i could actually still do... paint my nails!  Needless to say, with all the time i had on my hands, my nails always looked flawless! I wear these Tory Burch Earrings all the time!  They look great and can be dressed up or down!  I love Ray Ban Mirrored aviators and currently own the green ones, but this pink option is super sweet too!  Love bright pink lips?  You need this lipstick in Flat Out Fabulous stat!

Shop the SHOPBOP SALE!!!

So a couple of days ago, i got an email alerting me that SHOPBOP was having a major sale! Since I'm one to never pass up a good sale, i quickly began to browse through the countless items in the sale section!  I thought it'd be fun to highlight a few of my favorites because i just know that many of you share my enthusiasm for fashion, shopping and of course, a great deal!

I fell instantly in love with this green flowy BB Dakota dress.  I'm envisioning myself wearing this beauty for an evening stroll on the beach!  It's absolute perfection!  How cute is this Marc Jacobs IPhone Case?!  I seriously need this in my life!  These Rebecca Minkoff wedges make a major statement!  I can pair them with jeans or a great dress for a fun look!  I'm loving these Tory Burch sneakers so much!  I can totally see me wearing these while running errands or to keep comfy during my summer travels!  I'm totally getting this Tory Burch scarf because I've been eyeing it for like... ever and now it's on sale!!! Yay... go me!  Lastly, i love love love this Tory Burch bikini so I'll be adding this beauty to my shopping cart!  The Navy is also super chic too!

Let It RAIN! Tory Burch Maureen Rain Boots

The other day i came across these super adorable Tory Burch Maureen Rain Boots and was instantly smitten!  I mean, it's factual that everyone needs a great pair of rain boots right?  And what better time than Spring to update your wardrobe with a super cute new pair!  I seriously could not resist the cuteness factor of these boots.  While i could have gone totally conservative with the navy or hunter green options, i knew i needed to go for either the orangy poppy red or the happy yellow ones!  Well, after much deliberation, i went with the yellow!  I cannot wait for them to arrive!  These beauties will certainly have me singing in the rain while happily splashing through puddles!  C'mon, you know you want them too!  Get them here before they're gone!

Santa Baby - FMM Holiday Wish List

Every year I have so much fun compiling a list of things that I'd love to see under my tree... While I don't expect them all.. or any for that matter, it's still really fun to pretend shop online!  This year, my list is a proper mix of beauty and accessories.  I'm sensing a trend with all the faux fur, but I just couldn't help myself! So here are all the details!

 

I fell madly in LOVE with these STUNNING Lena Faux Fur Cashmere Mittens from Club Monoco!  Like seriously need them in my life stat!  Perfect accessory for accentuating a hot mani! 

 

 Anthropologie is perhaps one of my favorite stores in the world!  When I spotted this sweet little pink Reveler Clutch that doubles as a cross body bag I just knew I'd found another wish list item!  It's so feminine, delicate and fun!

 

OK, I'll admit...I have a slight obsession with Tory Burch!  Everything she does exudes luxury!  As a beauty lover, her beauty line certainly peeked my interest.  I've sampled her perfume and I'd say it was love at first sniff.... I need this pretty baby in my life!  Oh and the stunning lipstick... I can't get over how GORGEOUS the packaging is! Can't wait to try it!

 

I've been wanting a new wallet for a while now and this Tory Burch beauty is the one for me!  I love that it doubles as an iphone case making it super convenient to take it out for quick errands!  Oh and the tassel sold me... it's the perfect little detail!

 

Last but certainly not least... this Anthropologie Faux Fur Alesund Cowl is perfection.  This deep wine beauty will add luxury to any outfit... the color is stunning!  Pair it with a berry lip and you're good to go!

Tory Burch Beauty

Oh where do I begin?!  When I initially set eyes on the newly launched Tory Burch beauty collection, I screamed with excitement!  I'm a huge Tory Burch fan!  The packaging is insanely gorgeous!  It's almost too pretty to use!  I've made my wish list already though sadly, the lipstick is on back order 'til the end of November! Nooooo!!!! This makes me want it MORE!  Beauty blogger issues I suppose...  I can't wait to see if these beauties are as good as they look.  If so, I'm hoping that Tory expands the collection.  I'd love to hear from some of you who've already tried it.  Is it worth it?  What should I purchase first?   What are your thoughts on the quality?  I appreciate your honest opinions.

FMM Holiday Gift Guide Part 2 - Wish List

It's hard to believe that Christmas will be here in ONE week!  So have you completed your holiday shopping?  I'm almost done but still have a few items on my list.  This time of year is so busy for me since my little girls' birthday is also in December!  It's hard to believe they're already FIVE!  Between party planning, holiday decorating, shopping, baking, working, blogging... it's what Rachael Zoe might call BANANAS!  But regardless of the craziness, I'm trying to enjoy and savor this special time with my family.  Today in particular, I'm grateful that i have my beautiful baby girls to hug and kiss.  Sadly, many families in CT can't say the same as their babies were so violently taken from them.  So rather then complain about the madness of the season, I'm going to simply say... Allure's beauty chat at the HBA Global Expo NYC

So remember about a month ago, actually maybe a bit more than that, i was selected to go to Allure headquarters for a 'Meet and Greet'?  You can read about it here.  Well, i was asked to represent Allure as one of five panelists at the HBA Global Expo in NYC on June 20th!!!  I can't begin to describe the excitement i felt when i found out!  This panel consisted of myself, Lavande (check out her awesome blog here, Rebecca (check out her awesome blog here), and the super sweet Diana and Ellen!  This event basically consisted of a beauty chat moderated by Jill Steinbach Friedson of Allure.  As you can imagine, i was in heaven chatting up a storm with these equally beauty enthused ladies!   We basically addressed every aspect of beauty from how we purchase beauty products to packaging.  The audience consisted of a room filled with Beauty industry representatives who were interested in hearing first hand from the beauty consumer.  We, the panelists provided them with important information to share with their team.  Overall, this was such a fun event!  I feel so grateful to have had this opportunity and hope that there will be many more!  Thank you Jill Steinbach Friedson and Jennifer Friedman for your generosity!  I have to say they are so kind and approacheable making this process a lot less scary and a lot more fun!  Thank you Allure for all the wonderful experiences you've given me this year!  I feel so blessed!

OK so here's what made this event even more fun!  One of my best friends, Amanda, was one of the beauty representatives sitting in the audience that day!  OMG what are the odds right?  So we made a whole day out of it. We drove in to the city together -  here's a pic of us on our way...

 

After the event, we lunched at the fabulous Artisanal Fromagerie and Bistro where we feasted on all kinds of specialty cheeses!

 

 

We then did a little shopping!  First stop, Sephora... ofcourse, what else!  So we picked up a few things but our favorite was this Kat Von D lip stain in Outlaw.  It's insanely gorgeous and it stays on forever!  Trust me, when i wanted to take it off, it decided that it didn't want to! lol

 

Last stop, Saks Fifth Avenue where i picked up this gorgeous Tory Burch tote!  I don't typically buy black bags, not sure why but i love color (you wouldn't know that based on what i wore on this day but believe me, i typically wear lots of color)!  I needed a travel tote for my trip to Curacao (which is why i've been MIA for a while) and can tell you that as a mom of twins, this bag held up beautifully!  It honestly carried everything and more, was kicked around at the airport, on the airplane, and everywhere we visited in Curacao and it still looks brand new!  Most importantly, the handles didn't fall off as i was sure they would with all that i carried in it!  It's so roomy, it'll fit your entire life in it!  I highly recommend it!

 

 

Oh and i just couldn't NOT post these gorgeous pics of the stunning chandeliers in the Saks Fifth Avenue ladies room... yes, you read correctly, the ladies room!

 

This was seriously the best day ever!  We had so much fun strolling through the streets of NYC, trying stuff on, testing beauty products etc.  Thank you so much for reading and sharing this experience with me!  Don't forget to become an offical follower of FMM!  xoxo

Ruffles, Bracelets and Bows, OH MY!

I love classic pieces with an edge.  In fact, this is what attracts me to stores like JCrew. They carry very basic articles of clothing with an edge.  The jacket below is a prime example of this.  It's your standard three quarter length sleeve spring jacket, yet this one has a beautiful ruffle detail on the collar all the way down the front that adds a certain whimsical feel to it.  I purchased it in Spring 2008 a few short months after having the girls.  I had lost my baby weight so i was excited to build my Spring wardrobe.  I walked into JCrew and there it was!  I fell in love... and honestly, to this very day, it's one of my absolute favorite Spring Jackets!  It's so versatile.  You can wear it with a fab pair of jeans or capris and know that you look super chic!  I snatched it immediately because i knew it would sell out... and sure enough, it did! 

Another trend I'm loving right now, is pairing up bracelets for a chunky look.  In the pictures below, I'm wearing a double wrap Tory Burch metallic gold bracelet, Tory Burch chain bracelet with matching earrings purchased at Nordstrom though i no longer see them on their website and a rose gold Michael Kors watch. 

Lastly, i love the ballet slippers pictured below.  I purchased them at the Gap a couple of years ago.  The bow is that little bit of edge or whimsy on a classic shoe.

 

Notice the sleeves have a little ruffle too... so fun!
