MUA at CVS

When i learned that MUA is now available at CVS i was thrilled!  I'd heard so much great hype about this brand and was curious to see for myself if in fact all the buzz was true.  After trying a few products i soon learned that a new beauty love affair was about to unfold. Honestly, their lip products will blow you away.  The quality, color payoff, intensity and feel are just amazing.  I love that they have a huge array of options for lips.  If a velvety finish is your thing, look no further than MUA Liquid Lipstick in #202 Rose. Swipe this beauty on your lips for a gorgeous, almost matte finish that will last for hours upon hours! It applies like a gloss but has the feel of a lipstick... Uhhhmmmazing! MUA's High Shine Lipstick in #228 Scarlett is intensely bold and applies super smoothly creating impact.  The deep red is the perfect color to ring in the new year... one thing's for sure, it will get you noticed!  MUA's Color Intense Lipstick in #259 Raspberry is quite easily my favorite of all.  This color is soooo me! There is simply nothing better than a rich berry on a cold crisp Winter day! This full bodied formula will create intensity, feels smooth yet has major stay power. Another formula that I'm loving is the Color Infused Lip Balm in #280 Nude and #282 Pink (which I'm wearing in the picture below). This is such an innovative lippie! It's essentially a lip balm with a lipstick inside of it! Whaaattt?  Oh yes!  Can you think of anything better???

While their lip game is amazing, there are certainly other wonderful options as well.  One I'm currently loving is MUA's Pro Travel Set.  I'm definitely taking this baby with me on my trip to Paris as it's sized perfectly for my makeup pouch!  This set includes a Foundation Brush, All Over Shadow Brush, Liner/Brow Brush, Blush Brush and is housed in the most adorable silver travel pouch! This is truly an incredible value.

Have you checked out MUA's fun makeup collection at your local CVS? Definitely worth every penny and the best part?  These fun products are super affordable but certainly don't skimp on quality!  I'm impressed!

Drugstore Beauty Faves!

I'm a huge fan of high end beauty products... but more and more I'm finding that there are so many drugstore products that are equally amazing!  In fact, i have quite the list of drugstore holy grail products!  I've been shopping CVS since i was in my early teens.  Growing you, i had one two blocks away and i still remember the feeling of walking down the beauty aisle and peeking at the array of nail polish colors or lippie options.  I'd always toss a few beauties in my shopping basket followed by a magazine or two.  This was my way to unwind from a long day.   To be honest, it still is!  I love beauty products and i adore reading magazines, so during my down time (oh who am i kidding, I'm always chasing my twinadoes around), i simply love to explore new beauty options and cozy up with a great magazine!  OK so i totally just got side tracked with that flashback... but i kind of enjoyed it!  Getting back to some drugstore products I'm really loving right now!

I recently purchased Milani's Bella Eyes Eye Shadows at my local CVS and fell madly in love!  These shadows are insanely pigmented and could easily stand up to any of my favorite high end shadows!  These are easily the best bang for your buck when it comes to shadows!  I will be doing a full review on the ones i picked up along with a few more things but wanted to include them in this post because they are an absolute must have in my book!  Years ago, i found myself spending so much money on high end mascaras! While there are a few that i still love, i have to say, I'm so blown away by several drugstore mascaras!  There are two in particular that have completely wow'd me.  CVS sent me L'Oreal's Butterfly Effects (although I'd already purchased myself and loved it) and it was love at first swipe! This mascara has such a way of separating lashes! On me, it creates the most beautiful feathered lash effect!  It's just so different from any mascara I've ever tried! Another mascara i fell hard for was Revlon's Lash Potion.  I was sent this mascara initially by Allure to use in my Beauty Blogger Awards challenges and i was completely smitten.  This mascara will extend and voluminize your lashes!  It's so so soooo good that i have since purchased several!

Are you looking for a great cleanser but don't want to break the bank?  Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Cream Cleanser is a perfect option!  I love that it's free of harsh chemicals, sulfates, parabens, dyes, etc.   Really, this cleanser leaves my skin feeling clean and prepped for my skincare!  L'Oreal's BB Magic is one of those products that i have purchased over and over again.  It's light in coverage but really smooths out the skin.  It feels very similar to Sarah McNamara's Skin Transformer!  Yes!  It's a great product for when i don't really want to do up your entire face and just want to keep it simple.  I have recommended this to friends who've become equally smitten!  Great product!  Lastly, L'Oreal's Color Riche Extraordinaire Lipstick/gloss in Nude Ballet is absolutely, positively my favorite nude in the whole wide world!  The texture and pigmentation of this product is incredible!  This beauty can easily stand up to some of the most luxurious brands out there!  Everyone needs to own it!

CVS Beauty Apreciation Month - A Little Shopping Inspiration!

You guys, this is so exciting!  CVS is celebrating all of us beauty lovers by making August their Beauty Appreciation Month!  Can i get a whoooohooo?!  I've loved CVS since i was in my early teens.  I lived near one growing up and frequented it often.  I loved strolling through the beauty aisle and finding new products to try, or simply picking up a magazine and polish to entertain me for a couple of hours!  I have fond memories of these little trips and to this day, i still love visiting the store.  I thought it'd be fun to show you some of the drugstore beauty products I'm loving right now!  Some of these are new launches so hopefully you'll spot them on your next trip to CVS.

OK stop everything, if you get anything on your next CVS shopping trip, you MUST get Maybelline's Master Kajal eye liners!  OH EM GEEEE you have no idea!  The color is soooo intense and the shape makes application a cinch! I'm officially obsessed!  I want every color stat! The Maybelline Dream Wonder powder is a great option for setting your foundation.  Their dream wonder products in general are pretty good!

As you can see, there are several Salma Hayek Nuance products here.  I've been fortunate enough to try many of these as they are exclusive to CVS and absolutely love them!  The quality is amazing!  The formula on the nail polishes is spectacular!  They're intense and get the job done in just one coat!  The Lights, Camera, Action Eye Trios are quite possibly the most innovative beauty product.  In one product you'll get, creme shadow, highlighter and eye liner!  Yes, all three in one! Perfect staple for your make up bag!  The Smooth and Firm Protector is phenomenal!  I've been using this beauty and love that it has sun protection as well! It applies matte and feels very much like Benefit's PoreFessional!  It's uhhhmazing!

OK I'm loving the new mascara launches!  L'Oreal's Miss Manga Mascara and Rimmel London's Scandal Eyes Rockin' Curves will be your drugstore lash BFFs!  Seriously, they give your lashes the deepest of color while creating loads of length and volume!  Would you like individual reviews? Lets chat lips!  From sheers to intense, you'll find an array of options at CVS. I'm seriously loving
L'Oreal's Collection Prive by Doutzen in 600 Doutzen's Nude.  It's the perfect compliment to deep smokey eyes!  Rimmel London's Dazzling Dutchess Collection Lippies are seriously intense.  They go on smooth and feel like a lip balm on your lips.  However, the color is intense!  I'm loving the color Back to Fuchsia! If balm is more your thing, you may want to check out L'Oreal's Colour Riche Glossy Balm.  It feels like your wearing the most hydrating balm while adding a dab of color to spice things up.  I'm loving Baby Doll 230 but there are so many fantastic options!  I will be picking up a few more of these!
