Accidental Nail Art

Monday, April 22, 2013

I typically do my nails while watching TV after putting the girls to bed.  One evening... while watching the Rachael Zoe Project OMG, i pondered what nail choices I'd want for my manicure.  For some reason, i had a difficult time deciding between my favorite deep wine hue Winesnob by Sheswai or softer, fleshier tones.  Then it dawned on me.. why not both!  I began to apply Winesnob on all of my nails except my middle finger nail.  On that nail alone, i opted to pair splashes of Winesnob along with splashes of Revlon Nail Art Expressionist in Post Modern and Silhouette.  I absolutely love the turn out.  It reminds me of a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art where i often draw lots of inspiration from all the gorgeous exhibits!  Who says art needs to be solely on a canvas?  In fact, nails are the perfect canvas to unleash your inner artist any time!  And with this particular manicure, who cares if it's not perfect... personally, i think it adds character!  So go ahead and splash away!  Don't be afraid to play with your polish!   Everyone's an artist in their own way!  You included!

Revlon Nail Art - Spring Trend!

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

This Spring, it's all about black and white!  So when i came across Revlon Nail Art Expressionist in Night & Degas, i knew it was the perfect tool to get me trend ready for the upcoming season!  I initially set out to do something a little different then what's pictured here, but as soon as i began to play, this is what happened!  I simply painted my nails black and used the thin brush to swipe a vertical stripe over my nails.  I'll admit, it was love at first swipe!  The only downer for me is that the black has a matte finish.  If you like matte nail polish, then you're in luck!  I, however, prefer a glossier finish, so i topped this look off with a clear, glossy top coat!  Easy fix right?  So what do you think?  I totally want to snatch up all the other fun color combos that Revlon Nail Art Expressions has to offer!  There are so many to choose from!  Though if you saw my insane polish collection on Instagram, you might think this warrants an arrest by the nail polish police  as i own more then your average nail salon!  Surely there is therapy for this lacquer addiction, no?  The truth is, i could never have enough! Period!

So lets chat!  Have you tried Revlon Nail Art Expressionist?  What colors should i try next?

Thank you so much for reading! XOXO Carla - FMM
