It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with fashion and
beauty. So when it comes to runway
trends, I’m always on the lookout for something new, something refreshing! With
the arrival of fall, I like to sort of start fresh. You know, add a few new key
pieces to my wardrobe, switch up my beauty routine, reach for my deeper lip
hues and of course add a bit of drama and interest to my nail routine. For fall 2013, designers graced us with ultra
chic military silhouettes that can easily transition from red carpet fabulous to living
room carpet cool! Seriously people,
military green is quite possibly the hippest color this fall. However, you can instantly soften this
gorgeous green by pairing it with a shimmery gold-ish champagne. So for this on trend manicure, I drew
inspiration from this season’s military movement! I simply reached for Sally Hansen's Coat of Arms, a light metallic
champagne and proceeded to apply this baby on my nails. Once my nails were completely dried, I
grabbed my favorite military green, Sally Hansen's Loden Green, and applied it over my coat of champagne
being careful to paint solely the center of the nail. The drama and interest in this mani is simply
letting the metallic/champagne hue peek through the sides of the nail! I’m seriously uhhhh-bsessed with this manicure!
Oh and if you want to simplify this process, I’ll let you in on a little
shortcut… You can use a metallic nail
strip on your nails first and then apply your military green polish right
over! This immediately eliminates quite
a bit of wait time! I know, I know… you’re welcome! Now, I happen to love the pairing of thesetwo shades, however, the
possibilities with this mani are endless!
Pick any two shades you love and create your very own version of this
manicure! It’s easy, fun, and I bet
you’ll get lots of “ooooh I love your
nails”!
