Revlon Nail Art Expressionist

One of the many perks to being selected as a finalist in Allure's Beauty Blogger of the Year Awards is the ginormous box of Revlon goodies Allure ships to each contestant to complete the Revlon challenge!  I was lucky enough to get TWO of these babies (got one last year when i was selected as an alternate and another this year as an actual contestant).  This year however, we got the entire collection of Revlon Nail Art!  I seriously screamed with excitement admiring all these gorgeous polishes creating endless possibilities for my perspective manis!  My nails and I were ecstatic!

Today i'm reviewing the Revlon Nail Art Expressionist collection.  I'm leaving one color out because it's a glitter combo that will be better paired with the Moon Candy collection which i'll review at a later date!  Revlon's Nail Art Expressionist collection is filled with a wide array of gorgeous color combos to inspire the artist in all of us.

Revlon Nail Art Expressionist was a bit of a hit or miss for me.  While there were some super cute color combinations, i found a few to be oddly matched.  This dual polish set provides a typical nail polish brush on one end, and a long, slim brush on the other.  The long, slim brush is intended to create the actual nail art!  You can easily get carried away with the endless possibilities!  As for texture, these polishes are quick drying and decent for the most part.  Though i did notice that the consistency varied from color to color.  In other words, some colors applied easier then others.  In some cases, three coats were necessary to complete the desired look.  Though most of the time, two coats was enough.

French Bang Braid Video Tutorial

A couple of months into the start of FMM, i created a picture tutorial for a French Bang Braid.  This was my most viewed post to date!  Understandably since braids in general are so fun and on trend!  So i thought I'd put together this video tutorial in hopes of illustrating how easy it actually is to put this fun look together!  Quick side note... please ignore the awful manicure!  You can rest assured, that as of right now, my mani is perfect and chip free!  Phew!  C'mon even beauty bloggers are allowed a chip here and there no?  OK, enough babbling... here it is!

Josie Maran Argan Color Stick

A few months back, i had my first experience with Josie Maran!  Sephora had this adorable set filled with JM goodies complete with a zip pouch for under $30.  It was such a steal!  I immediately snatched a set for myself and am glad i did because shortly thereafter, it sold out!  I instantly fell in love with every single product in this set!  The Josie Maran Argan Color Stick in Rosy is a staple in my makeup bag.  It's compact and instantly creates a naturally flushed look to my otherwise pale and very blah cheeks!  Here's the best part... you know i love my multi-tasking products right?    Well, this gorgeous color stick is more then just a cheek beautifier... try this pretty baby on your lips and watch them go from drab to oooh la la with a gentle swipe!  It's infused with Argan Oil, JM's signature ingredient, formulated with vitamin E and essential fatty acids to slow down the aging process.  We could all use a little of that!  Josie Maran's Argan Color Stick's tiny size makes it totally clutch friendly!  What else could you possibly need right?

Ahh there are my favorite words 'multi-tasking'!

Kate Young For Target

OK ladies, it's that time again!!!  You know...  that time when Tar-Jay collaborates with a fun designer and all of us fashion slaves eagerly wait for the strike of midnight to crash the Target website!  Or better yet, push and shove our way around the store to snatch our favorite pieces!  Oh don't even try and tell me that you don't give everyone the stank eye who so much as glances in the same direction of the top you so desperately want before you have a chance to grab it!  No?  Just me?

Well, get your shopping armor ready because Kate Young is launching a gorgeous line for Target on Sunday, April 14th!  I've taken the liberty of selecting just a few of my favorite pieces from the collection and featuring them here on FMM.
