I'm always on the lookout for a great foundation. For me personally, i need something that will even out my skin tone without heaviness. In fact, i detest the feeling of product caked on my face! bareMinerals Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 is exactly what i need for everyday purposes! I simply dip myflat foundation brush (i strongly recommend this one) onto the product and swirl it on my skin (after applying primer of course) and that's it! It's incredibly light but magically buffs away any redness or discoloration and makes pores look nearly invisible. It leaves my complexion with a healthy, radiant finish. This foundation works for all skin types and has an extensive shade range so you are sure to find your perfect match!

One thing i learned from my analytics is that you love ruffles and dainty details as much as i do, so no worries because i have you covered on future ootd posts! I'm constantly asked about how to shop certain items that i post. The heart sunnies have been so popular with you guys and understandably! They're super fun and under $10! I link my instagram outfits on the LIKEtoKNOW.it app (if you don't have it you should)! I tried on a ton of stuff and chat about which pieces i bought and why like these awesome booties. Okay, so i know there's been tones of hype over the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and you are probably over it with all the presale coverage from bloggers. I hear you! BUT, let me explain what makes this sale so different from the rest. Basically Nordstrom is putting out new inventory for Fall and bringing down the prices on select items. These prices will go back up once the sale is over. This is new, Fall inventory... not an end of season sale! I shop this sale every single year but it's important to keep a few things in mind when shopping the #Nsale. First, think about key pieces that you know you'll get tons of use out of in the fall. Is there a pair of boots you've been eyeing but they're so expensive and you simply couldn't bring yourself to splurge? You know, like these Frye Boots that are literally 50% off their usual price?? Or perhaps you need a few basics like good cotton shirts or camis? This is the sale you'll want to stock up on those. Seriously, Frye boots are an investment piece so when they go on sale, you definitely should grab yourself a pair. This year, i have my eye on a few key pieces. If they're sold out then oh well, I'm not stressing myself over it. However, i plan on spending my money on what i feel i will get lots of use out of in the Fall. I don't want to just grab items that are going to sit in my closet. I've narrowed down a few items by category that i plan on trying on and perhaps purchasing! I hope these suggestions help you navigate through the sale.
I live in the long sleeve cotton tops I've purchased from the #nsale in previous years, so i fully intend to stock up on those. Camis are always a staple in my closet because they look great with a cardi and jeans. And who doesn't love themselves a 'Good Vibes' shirt?!
Sweaters are always a fun item to snatch a the Nordstrom sale. I'm loving the color block sweater as well as the emerald green and yellow! I try and do a good cardigan every year. Last year i got a few that i rocked so much! This year, i have my eye on this one!
Every year without fail, i pick up a new pair of booties. The pair that i got last year i wore almost every single day and loved them! This year, i have my eye on these! However, i have to make a recommendation! I purchased this pair (full price) a couple of years back. They're waterproof suede and beyond comfortable. They're the prefect bootie for work and fun! I loved them so much i went back and purchased them in another color. They are $50 off the original price and i strongly suggest picking up a pair. You'll understand once they go on your feet... they feel uhhhmazing!
This pair of tights that i bought at the Nordstrom sale a couple of years back is the most comfortable pair i own and they're completely opaque! Every time Nordstrom brings them back to their sale, i pick up a pair! They're so good! Also, these jeans are super cute and will look great paired with one of the sweaters above! Okay, i truly hope this helps you sort through the sale. My plan is to place an order first thing in the morning and then heading over to the store to check out the inventory, try on product and keep you guys informed of what i find. I've been a fan of Charlotte Tilbury for years! In fact, i remember precisely the moment i fell in love... the arrival of my very first haul! I ordered Eyes to Mesmerize cream shadow in the shade Veruschka, Dolce Vita Eyeshadow Quad, Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk,Lipstick in Bitch Perfectand Filmstar Bronze and Blush Glow! Their packaging is so dreamy and the products work like a dream! Bitch Perfect became a signature lip color for me. In fact, I'm often asked what's on my lips and most of the time it's this gorgeous lippie! I swear the lip liner/lipstick combo are perfection. The cream shadow is so easy to blend and doesn't crease while packing on the longevity. The eyeshadow quad in Dolce Vita is seriously dreamy (not to mention Rachel Zoe approved!) and i rocked the heck out of it! Basically, these starter products made me essentially fall hard from this brand. I eventually added a few more items to my collection (side note... the Magic foundation is basically MAGIC and the Light Wand is a current holy grail product and permanent fixture on my vanity). In fact, I get asked on instagram almost daily what the gorgeous glow on my skin is... well ladies, Charlotte Tilbury's Light Wand is essentially my secret to glowy skin! It makes me so happy when you tag me in your photos or DM's letting me know that you purchased it based on my recommendation and now love it as much as i do! Yay!
Fast forward to a few weeks back when i received the loveliest package in the mail from CT filled with so many gorgeous new (to me) products to try! I was so excited to introduce a few more products into my daily routine. I've been testing them out for a while now and certainly you've seen them featured on insta-stories and instagram but i wanted to focus in on a few that i wholeheartedly fell in love with and think you should consider adding to your makeup/skincare collection as well!
Wonderglow Primeris officially a staple of mine. It preps my canvas by using soft focus ceramic microspheres to smooth over wrinkles and imperfect skin tone thus creating an anti-aging optical illusion for a flawless, poreless complexion. It also creates a beautifully dewy look that leaves your skin looking radiant. You can wear it alone or with foundation. This product truly enhances the wear of the foundation. I personally love using CT's Magic Foundation with this foundation. It works like a dream!
Another product I'm LOVING is the Hollywood Flawless Filter. This is one of those products with a multitude of uses! For instance, you can wear it as a primer to add a touch of radiance and glow to your foundation. However, you can add it to your highlight points to reflect the most beautiful, unapologetic glow to your skin. I swear, this beauty makes your skin look so naturally healthy and beautiful! I simply stroke it along the highs of my cheeks and Cupid's bow then pat to blend the product in. I prefer to use my hands versus a sponge for this but you certainly can if you like! Whenever i wear this, i always get asked about my skincare routine! I attribute the natural glow to this magnificent and innovative product.
There isn't a day that goes by that i don't get asked about my blush on insta-stories. Charlotte Tilbury's Cheek to Chic in Ecstasy has been my go to jam lately. It adds a beautiful peachy/pink flush of color to your cheeks. Follow with a few swipes of the Contour Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette for a stunning sun kissed look. It's seriously stunning!

Charlotte Tilbury also has an amazing skincare line. The Magic Creamhas kept my skin supple and hydrated (i also usethe night cream) in combination with the eye cream. They really seal in moisture once my skin is clean and prepped for my skincare). I feel as though these products work seamlessly together to deliver gorgeous skin! The masks are also amazing. I'm currently loving theGoddess Skin Clay Mask so much. I use it once or twice a week depending on my skin's behavior and find that it makes a world of a difference in the hydration but also elasticity and overall appearance.
