Color correcting can be so very intimidating! But here's the thing... we all have some type of unevenness, redness, dark spots or overall discoloration amiright? Laura Geller's new Filter Corrector Color Perfecting Balm has made it so easy to quickly bid farewell to any of these issues! It features three color correcting shades (peach, blue and green) to target redness, dark spots, hyperpigmentation and dull skin with a few quick swipes, all conveniently packed into one super cute and user friendly compact!
So yes, i did say easy... before you call me crazy, let me explain! While this may seem like a super intimidating product to you, i'm here to tell you that you don't have to be a pro to use this to achieve major results. You see, there's no real precise way to apply this as long as you know what shades to use where. So let's chat about the three color correcting colors and how they can help you achieve your most beautiful complexion!
Peach: Neutralizes and conceals under eye dark circles (yes please!) Helps hide hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and visible veins.
Blue: Eliminates yellow undertones for a radiant, glowing complexion. Brightens the appearance of skin tone.
Green: Reduces redness and assists in concealing acne, rosacea, and any visible capillaries.
So now that you know what each color does, don't be afraid to swipe away! I dabbed the peach shade on my under eye area to combat my horrid dark circles! Honestly, when i use this, i don't even need concealer which is mind boggling considering concealer is typically the one product i can't live without! Next, i use the green shade to cover all of the redness and blotchiness in my skin. By the way, you don't need to be precise... just use a brush (or your fingers if that's your jam) and swipe away! Last, i like to use the blue shade anywhere i want to brighten! So yes, when i'm done i look a bit like a crazy clown but the end result is so worth it! Follow with your favorite foundation and blend it all into the skin. You will be blown away by how gorgeous your complexion is going to look. Ever notice how many times after applying foundation, you can still see a bit of redness and discoloration? That's because even the most full coverage foundations can sometimes lack the power to truly even out some of these skin issues. The Laura Geller Filter Corrector Color Perfecting Balm is my new complexion BFF! Quick Tip: Be sure to apply a good primer prior to using this product. A good primer helps adhere product to the skin seamlessly and makes it last longer than wearing a product alone so i'm all for priming the skin first.
Here's the final look.. yes i have lines and yes i have pores. This is exactly what i look like without any touch ups so that you could have the absolute best example of what a product looks like in a realistic manner. Pssst... i worked very hard for those lines so i'm going to embrace them!
Overall, i'm so impressed with the formula, texture and overall wear of this product. I've been reaching for it quite a lot and it really doesn't take me more than a few seconds to apply! You can purchase it here! BTW if you're wondering about that glow, i purchased Laura Geller's Gilded Honey Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator and OH EM GEEEE it's soooo good!
