LBD With a Twist!

I'm all about a great little black dress!  However, i don't always wear them in a traditional way! Personally, i enjoy putting a little spin on this timeless classic!  For today's post, i thought I'd show you how i styled two different LBD's in a non-traditional way!

 

First, let me say I'm obsessed with this little LBD c/o Tobi.com!  I have reached for it so many times because it's so soft, extremely comfy and oh so budget friendly! It's a bit of a long sleeve t-shirt dress that just feels so good and wears so well! The beauty of this dress is that it can also be worn as a top! I love the idea of styling it with a great pair of faux leather leggings!  I opted for black because it's slimming and super chic!  When you pull off an all black look, it's important to choose your accessories wisely!  In this case, i reached for these gorgeous statement earrings!  I felt that they added just the right touch to this sleek outfit.  The tassel bag i purchased on a trip to Portugal few years back!  This is a fun alternative!  Lastly, i topped off this look with a pair of light gray kitten heels from Zara!

One trend I've been embracing a ton lately is cold shoulder tops and dresses!  This could shoulder LBD c/o of Tobi.com is so comfy and super affordable!  I immediately fell in love with this versatile dress.  I decided to style it with a pair of black tights.  Doing so creates an elongated, slimming silhouette.  This necklace adds a fun pop of color (similar here) and could you just die for this bag??? It's my new Summer fave!  I promise you will be seeing it a whole lot in upcoming posts!  It's just too pretty to sit in a closet don't you think?

Winky Lux Flower Balm

 Wait... is that a FLOWER INSIDE THIS LIP BALM?  Yes!!!!!  Listen, you've heard me say time and time again that packaging is everything and in this case it's EVERYTHING!  I'm pretty certain that this is one of the prettiest lip balms i have ever laid eyes on! From the ultra feminine pink casing to the pink tinted clear balm, Winky Lux certainly didn't spare on the sweetness factor.  But that clearly wasn't enough punch for this pretty little balm!  Winky Lux took it to the next level and added a beautiful chrysanthemum inside this best selling lip stain making it essentially impossible for this MUA to pass this beauty up!  Oh and this isn't just any old lip balm... i mean, clearly!  But really, it's actually a lip stain that applies clear then reacts with your skin's pH levels, uniquely creating the perfect shade of pink lips!  It's available in four different color options.... pink, yellow, green and blue.  I want them all!  But for now, i'll content myself with the pretty pink one i purchased!  I seriously wish i could just display it on my vanity!  It's almost too pretty to use... almost!

Keepin' it Casual!

I'll admit... jeans are a major staple in my closet!  Cropped, ripped, flared, skinny... i love them all! After all, i feel as though they are a blank canvas that you can accessorize in a multitude of ways! You can keep it super casual with a t-shirt, or you can dress it up with a gorgeous blouse and pretty baubles!  The possibilities are endless! In today's #OOTD, i began as i typically do... with a relaxed pair of jeans, rolled up and ready for the endless array of possibilities! Choosing a great top is key to making or breaking your entire look!  So i opted for a beautiful and super feminine off the shoulders black top with slightly flared sleeves c/o of Tobi.com.  This top (pssst... it's actually a dress) executed my classic with a twist look beautifully.... and it's under $30!!!  It's comfortable, accentuates the collarbone (speaking of which, make sure you swipe a little highlighter on your collarbone for a bit of interest), and dresses up your entire look!

On to accessories!  I've always said, accessories are everything.   like the cherry on the top of the ice cream sundae don't you think?  When you have on a great pair of jeans, a few select pieces will easily steer your look in an entirely new direction.  I kept my accessories streamlined but threw in a punch of color for a little unexpected twist! I'm obsessed with this necklace because it marries a couple of trends into one beautifully executed piece!  This belt is a bit of a splurge piece but it's a classic and works with so many outfit options!  This sweet little Tribe Alive clutch was part of a recent Popsugar Must Have Box and i seriously cannot get enough of it!  It's so fun and works with so many ootd options!  Lastly, i fell in love with these shoes the second they launched!  I'm also a huge fan of yellow so color selection was easy!  Though i kind of want them in every color!  They're selling out quick but I'm glad i scored a pair!

Rainbows and Unicorns

It seems as though these days it's all about rainbows and unicorns!  Seriously, makeup brands are launching the most incredible products inspired by this trendy and I'm all like here, take my money!  Tarte, however, did it best with their newly launched rainbow collection!  

First, let's chat about these insanely gorgeous Magic Wand Brush Set! I don't think i have ever seen such a beautifully executed brush set!  The gold spiral handles paired with an array of magenta, pink, green, blue and purple hues make me SO HAPPY!  This vegan, cruelty-free fairytale inspired set is perfect for getting you ready in the morning and looks oh so stunning on your vanity too! I've been using Foreo IRIS for a few weeks now.  I use it twice per day as recommended and one thing i have noticed is that the skin under my eyes is visibly less puffy.  I'm hoping that with continued use, i will be able to go makeup free without the need for applying concealer!
