I love the ease of a good stick foundation. So when the Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation launched, i knew i needed to get my hands on it! Let me preface by saying that i was quite shocked at the affordability of this foundation! I mean... $25 for a foundation sold at Sephora is quite impressive! I immediately envisioned a very tiny tube... after all, one of my favorite stick foundations (also sold at Sephora) costs twice the price! Let me say that i was actually quite impressed with the size when it arrived at my doorstep. So far so good...
I immediately put this beauty to the test! Truthfully, i have never worn it without a primer so i can't speak for its effectiveness without. I recommend a primer always because it creates a smoother canvas for your foundation and helps with its longevity. This foundation is definitely buildable... i would say that it provides a medium to full coverage. One of the things i absolutely adored about this foundation is that it's very light weight! So much so in fact that if you feel like skipping the setting powder, you might be able to get away with it. I have combination skin, so this foundation works beautifully for my skin. It is also ideal for oily skin. There is no slippery feeling when you apply this on to the skin. It blends like a dream and is incredibly comfortable to wear. I'm not sure that this will work well for dry skin. Perhaps with a great moisturizer and primer geared towards dry skin? Not sure. However, i can attest that it works very well with combination skin.
Bonus? You can actually highlight and contour with this foundation by using dark shades for contouring and light shades for highlighting. Overall i was so pleased with everything about this foundation. I reach for it often! It's wonderful for travel and easily one of my current faves! I highly recommend this to anyone with combination or oily skin! Besides, at $25 a pop, you simply can't go wrong! You can purchase it here and here!
