Tom Ford Summer

I've admired Tom Ford for many years!  I still remember when he took over the house of Gucci and blew my mind with his sleek pencil skirts and jeweled pointy toe slingbacks!  Seriously, this many is a fashion genius!  When i learned he was branching out to beauty, you know i bursting with excitement!  After all, if he can take over a well known fashion house and completely revamp it, imagine all that he could do for the world of beauty! About a month or so ago, i picked up a couple of pieces from Tom Ford's Summer collection!  Basically, a lot of it sold out but i managed to get my hands on two items i was eager to try!  I'll be honest, for me it was all about the packaging.  Yes, I'm that person who will often buy something because it's housed in a fabulous package!  Serein from (Dress Yourself Happy) posted about TF's Summer compact which was spectacular to say the least, so when i scored the bronzer as well as one of the Cream & Powder shadows, i was stoked!

Now... is it all about the packaging?  I was seriously concerned that the bronzer would not show and would not be worth the hefty price tag... well i was wrong! In fact, i will say that Tom Ford's Bronzing Powder in Gold Dust is easily my new favorite bronzer!  I have yet to put it down!  The color compliments my skin but really shows in a non-aggressive way!  It gives my skin the most beautiful glow and is so perfect for the Summer.  I have even skipped blush at times in favor of this beauty! It's just gorgeous... and of course the packaging is insanely beautiful too!

I really enjoy cream products during the summer months and heard amazing things about Tom Ford's Cream & Powder Shadows.  I decided to pick up Midnight Sea because it's so different though there are definitely a few more subtle options if that's your preference. What drew me to this shade is the black base with the gorgeous turquoise blue.  I love when a shadow transforms into something completely different!  You can wear these shades simultaneously too.  The black will obviously create a more dramatic situation and the blue is fun and bold.  But layer these beauties together and you're left with the most stunning and super wearable shade ever!  That's the beauty of this shadow... you get multiple uses out of it for a variety of looks!

The price tag is certainly hefty but if i can recommend anything at all is the bronzing powder!  I promise you will reach for it all the time just as i do!  It's definitely a show stopper and worth every penny!  Have you checked out Tom Ford's Summer Collection yet?  You can purchase what's left of it here and here!
