A few weeks back, i began my #30Days2BetterSkin Challenge using Exaltria. The goal was to take this natural daily supplement in conjunction to wearing sunblock, washing my face in the morning and at night, drinking 8 glasses of water, and sweating for 20 minutes daily. Simple right? Well, yes... with the right preparation. You see, i think of myself as someone who takes rather good care of my skin. I never, ever go to bed without washing my face, however, sometimes i wash off my makeup the lazy way. I use a make up wipe to remove my make up followed by a cotton swab filled with my favorite toner. I realize however, if i want really great skin, i am going to have to bite the bullet and properly wash my face. This challenge helped me become much more aware of this. The key here is knowing this is something that has to be done therefore it is best not to wait until right before bed when I'm too tired to properly execute this step. So every night, i made sure to wash my face as a first step to winding down for the evening versus being the last. The mornings are always easy because i keep a cleanser in the shower for convenience purposes.
Another important step to improve the overall appearance and health of my skin was to step up my SPF game. While i try and wear it daily as a part of my skin care routine, i can't say that i did this regularly unless i was laying out in the sun of course! For this challenge, i reached for a moisturizer that already contains SPF and proceeded to use that. For convenience purposes, i kept this product on my nightstand so that i wouldn't forget to apply. Doing this really helped me stay focused.
We know that staying hydrated is a major factor when seeking beautiful skin right? Well, water is my absolute favorite drink in the world and i sure do drink plenty of it. However, i notice that i sometimes nurse my second cup of coffee for an entire morning and often forget to consume water during that time. This slows down my overall water intake which is not good! For this challenge, i became more aware of this issue and made sure to carry a water bottle with me everywhere i went just to be sure! Guess what? It worked!
Staying active is not only great for your skin but for your overall well being. This is the part i struggle with most! In fact, this is one of the major reasons i accepted this challenge! I wanted to really prove to myself that i could do it... and i did! Some days were more challenging than others. Between my full time job, taking care of my girls and all of their activities, maintaining my home, writing my blog... sometimes i swear i felt as though there just wasn't going to be enough time. This is where i had to be very strategic and plan my activities ahead of time so that i could mentally prepare for them! I realized that something as easy as a dance party in my living room with my girls totally counted! Bonus? My daughters really enjoyed our little dance parties and we made some great memories along the way!
Here is my sad looking 'before' picture
So lets chat results! I took a before picture of my skin prior to commencing this challenge. It's been four weeks and I've committed to doing exactly what i set out to do. In conjunction with all that i mentioned before, i took Exaltria every single day as a natural dietary supplement that gives you beauty from the inside out. I have to say that the first couple of weeks, i didn't notice too much of a difference. The changes started happening in the third week I'd say. The overall appearance of my skin is much healthier than it was just a few short weeks ago! It's amazing what a few minor changes can do to your skin! This challenge worked wonders for me... now i challenge you to do the same! #CollectiveBias
Here is the 'after' picture... the lighting is a bit different because i was in another room but i think overall you can see a big difference in my skin!
