A New Year... A New Beginning!

Wow what a year it's been!  As i reflect on all that 2016 has brought my way, i can't help but be incredible thankful for it all.  This past year has given me my life back... i have found myself once again and i can't begin to tell you what an amazing feeling that is.  My VSG surgery essentially changed my life!  I can't help but feel immense gratitude that life brought me to make a decision that could have such a tremendously positive impact on all aspects of my life.  It is such a liberating feeling to look in the mirror and see you!  For years i didn't recognize the person staring back at me.  I felt depressed and embarrassed.  Now, while i recognize that i am not super skinny or super this or super that, i am just happy being me again.  I'm excited to see what 2017 brings my way!  While i try to make a bunch of crazy New Year's resolutions, i do think it's important to reflect on the previous year and think about how you can improve upon anything you feel could use a little tweaking.  Or perhaps just setting aside some simple goals.  It's always nice to start the year with a clear focus of where you'd like to see it go. Truthfully, the universe is going to do its thing and you can't change that.  What you can change however is your perception and your attitude of the world around you.  I truly feel that you attract what you put out into the universe!  So start the year on the right foot... with a positive attitude.  This is a new chapter, and a new opportunity for a new journey.... enjoy the ride!

For this year, I've set out a few goals.... one major dream of mine is to be in a fashion magazine! I don't really care what form... just a picture or something of that nature.  Who knows!  Maybe this is my year!  You just never know right?  I'd love to grow my social media presence, incorporate a lot more fashion posts and perhaps collab with a brand.  OK not perhaps, that would be a DREAM COME TRUE!  I mean, sometimes you dream of something and think 'oh gosh that could never happen to me'.  But why not?!  From now on i will think 'when it happens' versus 'it will never happen' and let's see where my attitude and perception take me!  

I wish you all an amazing 2017!  I love each and everyone of you for taking the time to read my blog.  I'm asking for your patience as i take a couple of weeks off (maybe less) as i prepare some awesome posts for you!  I feel it's important to refresh my blog and keep the posts relevant versus just posting for the sake of posting.  I want my reading material to be interesting and fun!  I will continue to be very active on social media and in the meantime, be sure to enter my FMM Turns FIVE GIVEAWAY!  Xo, Carla - FMM
