I'm a huge fan of Urban Decay and I'm an even bigger fan of Gwen Stefani so when the two collabed for a Gwen makeup line i of course was first in line to snatch it up! While i didn't purchase the entire collection yet, i did order what i feel is the core of the entire line.
First, lets chat packaging. Gwen got this sooooo right! OMG, this entire collection is too stunning to keep hidden in a drawer! I keep it in my Glambox to ensure that it's always on display! It's so sleek, edgy, hip and simply beautiful! But if you're not as packaging obsessed as i am, I'll walk you through the products.
The first product released was the eyeshadow palette. This palette is amazing... you hear me? Uhhhhmazing! The pigmentation is on point and the color selection is perfect for whatever look you want! Whether it be a subtle neutral look or a power eye, this palette's got you covered! Check out the Holiday Look - Metallic Eyes i created using this beauty!
Last week, Gwen/UD released the rest of the collection which had me on my lap top at 6 am stocking up in fear of it selling out! I picked up the cheek palette, two lippies (Firebird and 714) and the 714 lip liner. You guys, the quality did not disappoint and again, the packaging... the packaging!!!!
The Blush Palette has a beautiful variety of pinks, champagnes and bronzes allowing you to highlight and contour while adding the perfect flush of color to your pretty little cheeks. I have yet to put it down. You can even wear some of the cheek colors on your eyes. Seriously, this palette is a must! The lippies are incredibly pigmented and apply like butter. Being a matte bold lip lover, i knew i had to pick up the only matte shade in the collection (714 Mega Matte). This orangy red is such a stunner! If you watched Gwen's New Year's Eve performance, no doubt (pun intended) you too fell madly in love with her nude eyes, dramatic lashes and orangy red lips am i right? Gawwwww she looked flawless.... obsessed! So naturally i needed that shade. Then i thought i'd pick up the matching lip liner just to be sure everything stayed in place! The other lip shade i opted for was Firebird. This fushcia cream lippie is my kind of bold! It screams Gwen and it's perfection! I'm pretty certain i will be adding more to my collection once it hits Sephora.
This collection is now available at Sephora, Urban Decay and soon at Ulta Beauty.
Thank you so much for reading! Xo, Carla - FMM
