Easy Breezy Summer Hair

For years, i envied those who could just air dry their hair and look great!  For me, styling my hair was the biggest struggle.  I mean, i spent hours... HOURS blowing out my thick, unruly hair only to walk out of the house and have it swell like a Brillo pad.  Not cute!  A few months back, i decided to embrace my naturally curly locks.  The thing is, a few straightening treatments in and years of blowing it out, I'd lost a lot of definition in my curls and my hair was essentially a big frizzy wavy mess.  My hair transformation certainly didn't happen overnight but i am here to tell you that it is possible!  Basically, i began by giving it a good cut.  Then, i began to experiment with hair products that helped me bring my curl back (Living Proof's Curl Collection certainly played a major part here).  
Recently, i came across Bumble & Bumble's Don't Blow It.  I picked up the travel size version at Sephora and gave it a go.  I'll be honest, i didn't have major expectations for this product, but it actually blew me away (pun intended)!  I experimented with a few ways to wear it... i find that it works really well with a leave in conditioner however, it really works well alone!  Just yesterday i washed my hair, applied only this and i couldn't be happier with the way my hair air dried.  This product is AMAZING!  In fact, i just purchased the full size and plan on keeping it in my hair product rotation.  

If you want to keep things simple and air dry your hair, summer is certainly the time to do this!  I purchased the Deva Curl Towel also from Sephora and used it to scrunch my hair after the shower.  It really absorbs the water and maintains the curl.  It also minimizes frizz which i definitely noticed.  These two products will definitely be my summer hair bff's!!!  I can't begin to tell you how wonderful it is to not have to spend much time on my hair!  While i can spend hours doing my makeup, i have little patience for my hair (sorry hair), so I'm thrilled to be able to finally say that i can wash and go!
