MAC Cinderella Collection

Thursday, March 12, 2015

Growing up, Cinderella was my favorite Disney movie.  I just loved everything about it.. the graphics, the music... i could easily recite the entire movie by heart!  While I'm all grown up now, i still love Cinderella.  In fact, i can't wait to watch the new movie with my little girls!  However, when it comes to Disney themed makeup, i can't say that I'm totally into it... that is, until MAC released their Cinderella collection!  I was so drawn to the beautiful neutrals and the packaging was spectacular! I knew that the second this collection went live i needed to hop on the computer and place my order!  I picked up a lipstick, lipglass and shadow palette... then i waited patiently (or rather impatiently) for my package to arrive!  When i finally did... it did not disappoint!

The Stroke of Midnight Eyeshadow Palette was easily my favorite purchase.  The colors are absolutely gorgeous and work on most skin tones.  The color payoff is amazing like all MAC shadows I've ever tried!  Honestly, if this baby had not sold out so quickly I'd definitely recommend purchasing it stat!  I also loved the Tinted Lipglass in Happily Ever After.  It goes on sheer with a hint of shimmery pink. It wears beautifully alone or layered over another lip color.  I had the lipstick in Royal Ball in my shopping cart and when i checked out it had already been removed and sold out! Dang it!  So instead i picked up Free as a Butterfly.  The color is a very light beige with a tiny bit of shimmer.  I like this lip color layered with the lipglass though i think i probably would have loved Royal Ball a bit more!

Overall I'm so impressed with this collection and kind of wish i had picked up a few more pieces but grateful i got my hands on these!  Did you pick up anything from the collection?  Do tell!

Thank you so much for reading! Xo, Carla - FMM

  2. those shadows do look so beautiful! I am limiting myself on how much makeup I buy until I find a new job so I passed on them but I did get both the Royal Ball & Free as a Butterfly lippies. I haven't used them yet, I am debating to keep them perfect as collectors but man they are gorg <3
