Christian Louboutin 'Rouge Louboutin' Nail Polish

Beauty is an art form. Every time you apply makeup on, you're essentially creating art.  Your face, skin, nails, hair... these are the canvas you work on every day to create your very own form of art. Every so often, a product arrives on the market that makes all of us 'artists' gasp for air with excitement.  Such a moment happened for me when Christian Louboutin announced his nail polish lauch.  There was so much buzz about whether it's appropriate to spend $50 on a nail polish, etc.  I completely understand those concerns.  After all, $50 is a pretty hefty price to pay for a red that you can probably match pretty close to other less expensive options.  However, for me, this was not just about another red nail polish.  I've got plenty of those and if you've seen my collection on instagram, you too know that i certainly don't need yet another red.  For me, this was not about a polish but more of a collector's item... a piece of art essentially.  This bottle makes quite a statement and can easily serve as a form of art. I mean, listen, i can't run out on any given day and purchase a pair of Christian Louboutins, so the polish is certainly more attainable for me.  As for quality, this polish does not skimp in any way, shape or form!  With one single coat, you'll have completely opaque nails with the glossiest of finishes!  I didn't even apply a base or top coat and was amazed by how beautifully it applies.  I suppose it better be that good for the hefty price tag. Best part, it actually lasts several days!  Overall i was very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of this beauty.  Rouge Louboutin is Christian's signature red.  Interestingly, the famous red soles came to fruition when Mr. Louboutin snatched a bottle of nail polish and painted the soles of a pair of his shoes!  After a big "oooh la la" (i'm imagining) the red soles were born!  It only makes sense that a nail polish empire would succeed his adorned shoe brand!  Stay tuned because he's getting ready to launch a huge array of nail polish hues very soon so start saving because it will set you back quite a bit.  Your nails, however, will be looking gooooood!

And if you can't justify spending $50 on a nail polish, i will add that it does double quite nicely as a ring holder!!!  Wink Wink!  You can purchase this beauty here and here.  Thank you so much for reading! Xo, Carla - FMM
