The Japanese Konjac Sponge

Tuesday, December 10, 2013

When I first learned about Japanese Konjac sponges, I was instantly intrigued!  These facial and body sponges are 100% natural made from vegetable fibers of Konjac.  The Konjac sponge was first used in Japan as a bath sponge for newborn babies because of its soft texture.  There arenmany wonderful benefits to using these... they'll cleanse your face and body in the most gentle of ways!  I had the opportunity to try three different sponges, the Cherry Blossom Konjac puff, the Bamboo Charcoal Konjac Puff and the Pure White Konjac sponge.  I honestly could not decide which of these I liked best... they're all work so well!

Curious about how these beauties work?  First, you'll need to submerge your sponge in water until softened.  Once the sponge is soft and completely immersed in water, you can begin to use it on your face by massaging it in circular motions.  You can either use it alone or with your favorite cleanser.  There is something so special about how these beauties make my skin feel.  I love that they're all natural and more importantly, these last 4-6 weeks!  There are a variety of sponges available to suit your skincare needs!  If your skin is sensitive and acne prone, the Bamboo Charcoal Puff would perhaps be the match for you. The absorptive carbon of the bamboo charcoal powder eliminates oil, draws dirt and excess sebum out of pores which keep the skin clean and sparkle. The Cherry Blossom Puff is an excellent facial cleansing tool for all type of skins. The cherry blossom-colored puff is created by adding cherry leaf essence from Yoshino cherry Tree.   This beauty can help repair roughness, combat inflammation, smooth and whiten skin. The Original Pure White sponge is also excellent for all skin types including sensitive skin.  In fact, it's the brand's number 1 best seller facial cleansing puff.  I love that it's gentle enough to use on my little girls' skin!  It will seriously leave your skin feeling uhhh-mazing!

So let's chat!  Have you tried the Japanese Konjac sponge yet?  If you haven't, give them a go... they're affordable and work wonders on your skin!

Thank you SO MUCH for reading! XOXO Carla - FMM
