Make Up For Ever Artisan Brush Collection

Every artist needs a great set of brushes right?  Well, considering you are your most perfect canvas, you'll need to reach for delicate, quality brushes that get the job done right! When I first touched Make Up For Ever's New Artisan Brush collection, I knew these were way more than just a pretty face!  The craftsmanship on these beauties is above all others!  This extensive set ranges from everyday 'must-haves' to highly customized tools to create the most intricate artist effects!  Dany Sanz perfected each and every brush throughout a five year process that involved testing a variety of synthetic fibers that mimic the silky softness of natural hair.  She consulted with renowned brush manufacturer Raphael on the island of Mauritius to create specialized brushes that require unparalleled craftsmanship.  The construction of each brush involved 25 unique stages, and was hand-crafted by a total of 30 people from start to finish!  These brushes range from wavy or straight fibers depending on required use.  When fibers are straight, application is more generous and precise, while wavy bristles are more splayed, allowing for a lighter and freer application.

The Artisan Brush Collection is classified in a way that is extremely practical for artists everywhere:

100s = complexion
200s = eyes
300s = lips
400s = artistic specially designed for professionals.

MUFE so generously sent me 6 brushes from this gorgeous collection which I'm so happy to share with you!

This large, flared brush with two different bristle heights in two colors can be used to apply powder or liquid foundations. SRP $48

#148 blending blush brush
Type of Fibers - Straight and Wavy.

This small dual-purpose brush provides a high finish with a simple, ethereal touch.  It's ideal for use with powder and cream product for shading, coloring or highlighting.  Its small size creates a precise application of blush and highlighters.
SRP: $55

#140 highlighter brush
Type of Fibers - Wavy.

This brush is designed for highlighting the cheek and brow bones.  The brush's small, rounded shape allows for generous product collection, while its soft fibers provide moderate product payoff for adjustable coverage.  SRP: $34

#158 double ended sculpting brush
Type of Fibers - Straight and Wavy.

This double-ended brush with a rounded side and a slanted side is perfect for highlighting and sculpting.  Use the slanted side to create a shadow under the cheekbones, and the domed side to highlight or color.  SRP: $53

Type of Fibers: Straight

This large, flat and tapered brush is ideal for application, blending and smudging all types of eye products quickly.  Its thin shape provides light to moderate product payoff.  Personally, I reach for this brush all the time.  I love how well it applies shadow to the lid of my eyes.  It's seriously... perfection!  SRP: $31

Types of Fibers:  Straight and Wavy

This short, extra-dense paddle brush is recommended for applying makeup to the upper eyelid.  Thanks to its size, this brush is used to apply and blend products on the entire eye area (eyelid and brow bone).  This brush can create the most perfect crease even with the most unsteady of hands!  Trust me, it's a must!  SRP: $28
