Stila Stay All Day Foundation and Concealer - Sephora and Pantone Color IQ
Thursday, April 11, 2013
I rarely wear foundation. But there are times in life that call for all the help you can get right? For instance, this past Saturday night, I celebrated my 20 year High School Reunion! Yikes, did i just admit that?! Obviously, everyone wants to look their best when faced with such situations so i knew my usual BB creams were NOT going to cut it! The thing about foundations that i personally find so intimidating is finding the right match for your skin tone. The last thing I want to do is sport a two toned look... one for my face, and one for my neck! No thanks! For this hefty task, I enlisted the help of Sephora + Pantone's Color IQ to find the perfect match for me! The Sephora Beauty Expert promptly used a capsure to determine my exact skin tone. In case you're wondering, and i bet you are because i certainly was, a capsure is a compact, hand-held spectro-colorimeter that is used in the design world to identify color with the utmost accuracy. It essentially takes an image of your skin, analyzes it and in turn assigns it an official Pantone Skin Tone number. This information is then read on an IPad which holds over 1,000 foundation SKUs to determine what products are a precise match for your skin tone! I call it plain genius... GENIUS!
So when the Sephora Beauty Expert searched for my perfect match, Stila's Stay All Day Foundation and Concealer in Buff had my name written all over it! We tested it out in store just to be sure, though i knew this major technology would not steer me wrong!
I'm so so soooo happy with this foundation! Not only because it leaves my skin looking like porcelain, but as a lover of multi-tasking products, i adore the fact that it includes a concealer and foundation brush! Honestly, i don't think i could ever find a better match! The packaging is wonderful and compact making it super travel friendly. Overall, i highly recommend this amazing product, but more so, i think that Sephora + Pantone's Color IQ is the best invention ever there was! EVER!
So lets chat... have you ever tried Sephora + Pantone's Color IQ? What are your thoughts? I know my next stop will be Sephora's Skincare IQ which is essentially the same technology that matches you with a personalized skincare routine! Fabulous!

I hate having to pick my shade because I almost aways get it wrong!

Definitely check it out... you'll love it! xo
DeleteHave you ever tried Hello Flawless by Benefit? I am tempted to try it for myself and since you are a Benefit fan I was wondering what you thought of their foundations? What BB cream do you like?
ReplyDeleteHi Petra! Actually I haven't tried Benefit's Hello Flawless (and yes i'm a huge fan) though when I walked into Sephora, my intention was to read for benefit. However, the color IQ machine matched me with stila and i'm thrilled! As for BB CReams, I have three I highly recommend! The first two are pricey but WONDERFUL... Naked by Urban Decay and Sarah McNamara's Skin Transformer - WOW! The last is very affordable - L'Oreal BB Magic... I love it! Let me know if you try any of these! I will have reviews on a couple of these soon! xo

DeleteAhhh I've got my 10 year reunion this year LOL. The foundation sounds heavenly. I've never really been able to match a colour to my skin tone as it's always changing, but I think the NARS one I use is pretty close - I hope!
