Holiday Travel and Gifting with Sonia Kashuk

On our recent Fall getaway, i packed the Sonia Kashuk Weekender in plaid and let me tell you... this baby carried all of my must-haves with room to spare!  This is easily one of the best weekender toiletry bags I've ever had! Carolina Herrera 212 VIP Rose Eau De Parfum

I've been a huge fan of Carolina Herrera's signature 212 Eau De Parfum for many many years!  Too many to count really.  So when i heard about her 212 VIP Rose Eau De Parfum i knew i needed to try it.  While it's not quite the same as the original, it's very much in keeping with the floral trend of the original. This version is quite luxurious with fruity notes, peach blossom, woody notes, white musk and champagne.  I don't typically like strong fragrances as they give me a headache, but this one is soft, relatively mild yet a little goes a long way.  I'm loving this new scent and think you will too. What inspired you to launch a line of tech accessories?

As the first fast-fashion brand in jewelry, we have always focused on offering trend-leading styles to help our guests have fun with fashion and experiment with personal style. Today’s shopper is so digitally connected that tech accessories are a natural fit and have always been on our wish list. Our shoppers listen to music constantly, and always have a phone in hand, so a beautifully designed phone case or chic headphones can be just as important as the latest statement necklace.

Where did you seek inspiration for the tech accessory designs?

We looked in our current collection. Signature pops of vibrant color, luxe metallics and of-the-moment materials like organics are important elements in our design, and we wanted to carry those over. Our brand is playful—we do everything with a wink—so incorporating that into some of the designs through cheeky expressions was another important consideration. We also wanted designs that nodded towards our jewelry heritage, so we played with treatments that would mimic faceted gemstones and also incorporate a lot of metallic and shine.

In what ways are the designs classically BaubleBar, and in what ways are they edgy and new?

The colors, treatments and patterns are classically BaubleBar. That said, designing against totally new silhouettes and in a new category gave us a really exciting opportunity to experiment in edgy and new ways. In designing the lightning cables, we were able to weave in metallic thread to create really beautiful patterns and take something that is typically a bit mundane and give it a touch of wow.

What drew you to launch this first collection with Target?

It goes without saying that Target is known for its amazing collaborations, so it was great to partner with the team on our first line of tech accessories. We had the creative freedom over the designs to really bring the BaubleBar aesthetic to Target, and that support is critical to what we do. We imagined Target as the perfect home for us to bring our signature wink, and are so excited to see that coming to life.

Any favorite memories from the collaboration process?

Once the samples arrived and we unwrapped them in office, the expressions were amazing! The reactions were a great indication of how we hope the Target guest responds when he or she sees our new blinged-out tech accessories!

Get the Holiday Glow Not the Holiday Stress!

It's the most wonderful time of the year.... OK really that should read 'It's the most stressful time of the year' because let's face it, the holidays can be quite overwhelming!   As a mommy of twin girls, I want to make this time extra special for them because I know that I have a short window of time before they get older and no longer appreciate the magic of the holidays.  However, I constantly find myself in a mad rush to get it all done and somehow forget how to actually enjoy those precious moments. Well, let's put a stop to the holiday stress once and for all! I've got a few tricks up my sleeve to help you sneak a moment to sit back and take time to pamper your hair and skin during the hectic holiday chaos.

First thing you'll need to do is head to your local Costco!  Yes, you read correctly!  Stay with me will you?  Costco carries some of my favorite P&G products so I always make sure I'm well stocked! How frustrating is it to run out of your favorite skin and hair care!  Costco makes it easy to stock up on products you love in sizes that will last you way longer than the drugstore version.  Best part? Not having to constantly restock your favorite products actually saves you time! Pssst... the time that I just saved you with this quick tip will now be used to pamper yourself OK?!  This is why the first step to your holiday glow begins with a trip to Costco.  Genius, I know!

OK, now that you've stocked up on your favorite P&G products from Costco, you'll need to steal a moment to get your glow on.  I get it, your day is crazy and you're just not sure it will ever end. This is seriously the story of my life.  But i'll tell you this, for me, many of my 'me moments' happen when the kiddies go to bed. At the end of a long day, I love nothing more than a nice relaxing bath. So here are a few tricks on how I unwind! First, I light my favorite candle because it not only creates a serene ambiance, but if you pick the right scent it will help set a relaxing mood.  Next, I have a play list ready with all of my favorite tunes. A bath is so much more fun with great music don't you think? Now the fun part... let's talk hair! I've trusted Pantene Shampoos and Conditioners throughout the years to keep my locks shiny and healthy.  Pantene Advanced Care is my current favorite duo!  First, I create a nice lather using the shampoo to really work through my hair.  The essential vitamins in Pantene's Advanced Care shampoo ensure that my strands look shiny, healthy and clean! Next, I work the conditioner through my hair.  Tip: I like to comb my hair in the shower while I have the conditioner on.  This way, there is zero tugging or pulling and it really helps release all tangles.  I always know if a conditioner is good by how easily I can do this.  Pantene's Advance Care passes with flying colors!

CVS Exclusive Beauty 360 Masks

I'm a huge fan of facial masks! Particularly ones that are 'mess-free'.  I feel that it is so important to take good care of your skin.  While i tend to spend a lot of money on my skin, i love to know that there are also some wonderfully affordable options out there for all budgets! Jesse's Girl Liquid Eye Liners

If you know me well you know I'm obsessed with a mean cat eye!  I wing my eyes practically every day of my life which perhaps explains why I'm always late to everything!  Hey you know how the saying goes... never ask a girl... yada yada yada!  While I've tried many liquid liners, i have a few that i consider my 'most reached for'.  Sadly, my favorites were always quite pricey until now!  You guys, i have found a MAJOR drugstore gem and you all need to  know about it!  Unless you already do in which case why didn't you tell me??!!!! Jesse's Girl Liquid Liners are everything!  The Japanese calligraphy style brush allows for a super precise application!  It's so precise it's fool proof!  Seriously, anyone will work like a pro using these beauties! They come in four colors (blue, dark brown, olive and black) but I'll be honest, the black is the true stand out here.  I have yet to put it down since i got a sample from Jesse's Girl at Generation Beauty.  Yep, the Jesse's Girl black Liquid Eye Liner has been my go-to for the past month while my Kat Von D Tattoo Liner and Marc Jacobs Liners sit pretty in my make-up drawer!  Honestly, why would i ever spend $30 on a liner again when these gems cost $6.99!  I promise, this liner will stand up to any fancy shmancy brand and deserves major recognition!
